Miss Kaninna | Vivid LIVE

A fearless storyteller, gifted vocalist and explosive live performer, hip-hop and R&B artist Miss Kaninna has taken the music scene by storm in a short couple of years, capturing audiences and critics alike with her unapologetic attitude and ferocious charisma. Her rocket ride to stardom continues with her first-ever performance at the Sydney Opera House, sure to be among the hottest shows at this year’s Vivid LIVE.

A proud Yorta Yorta, Dja Dja Wurrung, Kalkadoon and Yirendali woman, the Naarm-based Miss Kaninna ignited buzz in 2023 with her single Blak Britney, an anti-establishment anthem written to amplify the voices of Black women, and its club-ready follow-up, the subversive call-to-arms Pinnacle Bitch. The breakthrough one-two combination saw her crowned Triple J’s Unearthed artist of the year and nominated for three ARIA awards, where she became the first-ever Indigenous woman to earn a nod for her debut single. Audiences soon got a taste of her combustible live talent at Laneway 2024, alongside Steve Lacy and RAYE, and at SXSW Sydney, where she took home the Best Emerging Artist prize.
