Vivid Sydney will take place from Friday 24 May to Saturday 15 June, and for 23 days and nights will create a moment of wonder to bring us together and shine a spotlight on what makes us human – love, kindness, compassion, creativity – humanity.
Vivid Sydney provides a unique opportunity to create memorable moments in one of the world’s most beautiful natural and urban environments. Through the Local Business Program, we invite you to be part of this uplifting universal experience that strives to change hearts and minds and to honour difference.
We’ll help promote your activity to our engaged audience, and you’ll receive access to free Vivid Sydney Local Business Program assets to highlight your involvement and attract customers, including round LED screens or window decals and posters which will be professionally installed in your space.

How to apply for the Local Business Program
Please read through each opportunity to find the tier most suitable to your business and then apply using the link below.
Applications are presented within four tiers:
Tier 1 - Any type of business willing to host a unique Vivid Sydney experience, event or bespoke menu
Tier 2 - Any type of business with a shopfront window
Tier 3 - Cruise vessels interested in illuminating their vessel
Tier 4 - Businesses interested in illuminating their prominent building façade
Business willing to host a unique Vivid Sydney experience, event or bespoke menu
Mandatories:
- To host a unique, Vivid Sydney-inspired experience, activation, event, menu or décor, exclusive to and available each night of the festival
- To be open every night of the festival
- To be located within Vivid Sydney’s boundary (see map below)
- Indoor venue space to fit a 1m x 1m LED screen
- A shopfront window is needed to display our decals and posters, however, if you don't have a customer-facing shop, you can simply skip these assets
- An Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing
Benefits:
- FREE, high-quality, transparent, and circular LED Screen (1m-diameter in size) on an adjustable base stand (up to 1.8m high) to be professionally installed and displayed temporarily in your shopfront window or retail space during Vivid Sydney. This will be pre-programmed with Vivid Sydney video content
- FREE brightly coloured Vivid Sydney window decals tailored to your shopfront window size and professionally mounted for temporary display
- FREE set of A2 posters for temporary display during the event, professionally installed
- Your special offer or experience will be promoted to our engaged online audience through the Vivid Sydney website and marketing channels, subject to Vivid Sydney’s discretion
- Official Vivid Sydney Local Business Program digital toolkit with exclusive content and guidelines for use on your own channels
Terms and Conditions:

- Tier 1 will be limited to up to 80 businesses and selection will be based on the strict criteria outlined in the Terms and Conditions
- To apply for this Tier, you must have an Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing, so that we can promote your offering on the Vivid Sydney website. If you do not have a listing, please visit https://oauth.atdw-online.com.au/login to sign up. Please note that it can take up to 5 days for a listing to be approved once it has been created. Once you have your listing set up, note your listing number will begin with #AU followed by 7 digits and will appear directly under your listing in ATDW.

Business with a shopfront window
Mandatories:
- To have shopfront window(s)
- To be located within Vivid Sydney’s boundary (see map below)
- To be operating business-as-usual (no exclusive, experience, offerings, tours, or menus are required)
Benefits:
- FREE brightly coloured Vivid Sydney window decals tailored to your shopfront window size and professionally mounted for temporary display
- FREE set of A2 posters for temporary display during the event, professionally installed

Cruise vessels
Mandatories:
- To be willing to illuminate your cruise vessel at own cost
- A cruise vessel with a secure outdoor or indoor location with good 4G reception where a shoe-box sized 4G modem can be installed and powered with a standard Australian mains connection
- An Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing
Benefits:
- FREE lighting controller box to be professionally installed in your cruise vessel pre-festival to remotely synchronise your lighting treatment to Vivid Sydney’s spectacular display during the event
- Participating cruise vessels will be featured on the Lights on Sydney Harbour page of the Vivid Sydney website
- Official Vivid Sydney Local Business Program digital toolkit with exclusive content and guidelines for use on your own channels
Conditions:

- Your business will be responsible for procuring and funding a reputable and qualified lighting supplier to develop and deliver the cruise vessel lighting treatment and gaining design approvals from the Vivid Sydney team.
- Tier 3 will be limited to 30 cruise vessels and selection will be based on the strict criteria outlined in the Terms and Conditions
