PURE SPACE - AURORA II

Pure Space is one of FBi Radio’s favorite experimental dance music shows. Having transmitted weekly for almost three years, the show is a trusted source for the most forward thinking experimental club music.

Pure Space are proud to return to Freda’s as part of their Vivid Music programming, this phase will see the team present AURORA II - a visual and sonic exploration further reaching than ever before.

Featuring five Australian electronic artists curated by Pure Space’s host Andy Garvey. Each artist showcases a unique aspect of the shows ever-evolving sound.

The main floor will feature rising Canberra DJ Hei Zhi Ma (黑芝麻), an artist soon to be known for her unique and deep knowledge in contemporary club electronics. She’ll be joined by Melbourne’s Bead who will debut his industrial techno live set in Sydney for the first time alongside Bayu (A Colourful Storm) who will round out the room with his forward thinking take on jungle and drum and bass.

Down Under, Freda’s basement gallery, will feature a visual exhibit of Sophie P-Y’s Pure Space visuals alongside Mija Healey’s new coded works. The space will be immersed in the lush sounds of two of the countries finest ambient producers, Sydney local Cranioid (Rathe Recordings) will set the floor for esteemed Melbourne artist Jenifer Loveless’s exquisite new live performance.

The night will be as captivating as the Aurora lights but far closer to home.
