Anyone with even a vague interest in music that's offbeat, raw, beautiful, worldly and wild would have at one time or another delved into the radio show that is NOISE IN MY HEAD. The creation of Melbourne's Michael Kucyk, the show ran for an incredible 13 years, firstly on< RRR, then going global on the online station NTS Radio.
It has been a seminal part of the Melbourne scene that launched the likes of Andras, Michael Ozone and Bell Towers into International prominence and has featured amazing mixes by everyone from Pender Street Steppers, Plo Man, Hashman Deejay, Tako, Roza Terenzi, Toni Yotzi, DJ Jnett, Skatebard, Tornado Wallace, Hunee, Suzanne Kraft and many many more.
A long time favourite guest of the show - AZ, owner of Osaka based record store Revelation Time, will be making his debut Australian performance playing a sublime selection of music all night alongside NOISE IN MY HEAD. Opened thirteen years ago as an online business, Revelation Time went physical in 2009 and specialises in a broad sweep of leftfield dance music, whether riding high on disco, new wave, afro, house, drum ‘n’ bass and UK garage, or slowing things down with reggae, Balearic and new age rarities.
A night for the heads. Not to be missed.
