Darling Harbour is the setting for the largest ‘liquid and light show’ ever seen in Australian history – created especially for Vivid Sydney. The vast scale of the precinct calls for an eye-popping spectacular and this grand scale display uses technology never seen before in Australia to take light artistry and aqueous choreography to a whole new level.
Designed and purpose built for Vivid Sydney, hundreds of multi-textured jets and nozzles fan water into shifting shapes and expressive fountains, all set to a soundtrack that delves into the soul of Sydney. An impressive array of 48 compressed-air water cannons delivers a powerful crescendo of visual wonder and sonic blast-waves guaranteed to rock your senses.
The infinity shaped floating installation comprises over 250 metres of robotic fountains that can throw an amazing NINE tonnes of water in the air in only ONE second! When simultaneously lit by thousands of powerful LEDs, suddenly you have a fantastic dance of liquid and light that is a must-see.
Join us for two tightly choreographed shows on rotation continuously from 6pm - 11pm each night with a 5 minute interval between each show. Back-to-back, they explore different sides of our charismatic city synced to soundtracks designed by Sydney’s own Peewee Ferris and inspired by local musicians.
Pop Sydney explores the excitement of urban Sydney – our built environment, nightlife, and diversity.
Classic Sydney takes us on a journey of wonder through our natural surroundings.
See the environments that earn us the reputation of the most beautiful city in the world – in a totally different light.
As a superscale 360 degree experience, Infinity is visible all around the south end of Darling Harbour as well as from Pyrmont Bridge, high in surrounding city buildings, and along the floating walkway that runs directly through the heart of the harbour to get you even closer to the action than ever before.
This amazing experience reminds us all why we love Sydney – to infinity and back.
