If you've never spent time up-close with a frog, you might not appreciate how beautiful their skin patterns can be. This intricate camouflage can, in some species, even change colour and texture!
Night Walkers supersizes these wondrous amphibians to highlight not just their beauty but also their ecological importance. These unique creatures – considered the 'walker' between the two worlds of water and earth in shamanic cultures - are considered bellwethers by environmentalists, as a decline in their population can signal serious environmental damage.
Each of these giant frogs represent an endangered species; head to their nearby panels to hear their individual frog songs. Will you be able to find all eight placed across the Light Walk? It's a scavenger hunt – be sure to keep an eye (and ear) out for them at Dawes Point Reserve, Barangaroo Headland, Darling Quarter and Tumbalong Boulevard!
