Gill Minervini 

Gill Minervini is a festival and event director with over 30 years experience creating impactful and inclusive cultural experiences. As Festival Director for Vivid Sydney (2021-current), she has led the event to unprecedented success, drawing nearly 3.5 million attendees in 2023 and winning 17 international awards. Gill's career highlights include as an Artistic Associate for the Adelaide Festival, producing Dark MOFO's Winter Feast for MONA and leading Sydney's major event programs as the Creative Director for City of Sydney Events. Peewee Ferris (Music Composer)

Peewee Ferris, celebrated composer and DJ, is known for his dynamic compositions for large-scale public events such as the Sydney Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies, World Expo Dubai and multiple Vivid Sydney events in ’21 and ‘23. Peewee continues to light up the night with his sonic creations with the soundtrack for the 2024 Drone Show Love is in the Air. Composed under his disco-funk alter ego, Pipi Le Oui, his soulful groove will accompany the heart stopping drone display.

Romantic love is an instinctive part of human nature. Our capacity to love and show compassion are the best aspects of humanity.

Come join us at Circular Quay for this unabashed love story in the sky. Our drone show will have your heart beating fast, as over 700 drones form universal symbols of love in spectacular colours and formations across the night sky.

Turn on your love lights and join us for a celebration of all things love. Love is in the air, everywhere you look around!

Love Is In The Air will dazzle Vivid Sydney on the 8th, 9th and 15th of June from 9.10pm.

Due to the dynamic nature of our weather, we encourage you to keep a close eye on our social channels and the digital screens across the Light Walk to stay updated about the drone show. Drone operation is highly sensitive and dependent on clear weather conditions to proceed.
