Download the Vivid Sydney app and take a journey into a world of augmented reality (AR) with Hidden ARt, an Augmented Garden, created by TAFE NSW students, into the imaginative worlds of some of Australia’s greatest sculptors and visual artists via a new-age media installation located in the Fitzroy Gardens at Kings Cross.
When in Fitzroy Gardens, open the Vivid Sydney app and click on the Vivid Sydney AR light icon and scan the area around you to unlock Hidden ARt and reveal the stories behind 14 new age media sculptures at Vivid KX, their design inspired by Australian sculptors and artists. Different sculptures will be unlocked each week!
Mixing real-world with computer-generated sculptures, second- and third-year students from the Bachelor of 3D Art and Animation course at the TAFE NSW Design Centre, Enmore, have used light, colour and modern media to create a visual wonderland within one of the city’s most loved creative spaces.
