The ‘single biggest thing’ we can do to save the planet is go vegan, according to Oxford University researchers in the UK.
Animal agriculture is devastating the environment. As well as being a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, it’s also a key driver of deforestation, species extinction and air and water pollution.
Plant-based foods, on the other hand, are not only typically more sustainable, they’re generally better for your health and don’t harm or exploit animals.
In a lively panel discussion discover how Australians are embracing veganism in droves, why plant-based eating is the key to saving the planet and how easy it is to ditch animal products and still enjoy your favourite foods.
Panel host Katrina Fox, journalist and founder of Vegan Business Media, will be joined by clinical hypnotherapist, naturopath and medical nutritionist Dr Tracie O’Keefe DCH from the Australian Health & Education Centre and Vegan Australia director Greg McFarlane who will discuss the health and environmental benefits of plant-based foods.
North shore author Loren Lembke will share her story of how she went from living the high life, hanging out with celebrities at wild parties in the 1980s in Hollywood, to become paralysed after being given an epidural during the birth of her daughter. Loren will talk about how plant-based eating turned a catastrophe into a catalyst for awakening and living consciously.
