With a career spanning almost three decades co-hosting The Movie Show on SBS and At The Movies on ABC with David Stratton, Margaret Pomeranz is Australia’s most recognised, loved and highly respected movie critic.

Since January 2015, Margaret has presented on Stage & Screen, a weekly arts guide and review program, where she reviews film and television for Foxtel. She also hosts ‘Margaret Pomeranz Presents’, a weekly movie program curating films for Foxtel viewers, which draws her unrivalled expertise and insight of the silver screen.

Margaret has a Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie University, and was selected for the Playwright’s Studio at Australia’s preeminent theatre and acting school, National institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA), and has written for television, radio and film. 

Margaret was awarded the A.M. (Member of the Order of Australia) in the 2005 Queen's New Year’s Honours List for her services to the film industry as a critic and reviewer, promoter of Australian content, and advocate for freedom of expression in film. She has served as a member of the Advertising Board, is a past President of the Film Critics Circle of Australia and has been both President and Vice-President of watch on Censorship. In April 2016, she was conferred with the degree of Doctor of Letters, honoris causa from Macquarie University.

He is lauded for some of the most influential films of the last four decades, including Scarface, Midnight Express, Platoon, Wall Street, Natural Born Killers, JFK, Nixon, and The Doors.

Stone is a master at tackling controversial subjects. His films are grand in scale and his hard-hitting style takes a realistic and truthful look at the world, which often polarises audiences. Stone’s recent hit films include the follow-up tale of greed, corruption and power, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and the 2016 biographical political thriller, Snowden.

Oliver Stone is appearing exclusively in Australia at Vivid Sydney, the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas. The acclaimed storyteller will appear at the Vivid Ideas Game Changer talks and at global creative forum Semi Permanent.

  • Companion Card Acceptance - The Companion Card is for people with a significant permanent disability, who always need a companion to provide attendant care type support in order to participate at most available community venues and activities.
