Immerse yourself in the beauty of Australian native foods, botanicals, culture and rituals at the intimate Warakirri Dining Experience, presented by Ngemba Weilwan woman Sharon Winsor at Carriageworks as part of the Vivid Food program.
The Warakirri Dining Experience returns to Carriageworks for two nights of gourmet dining and experiences that showcase the beauty of over 60,000 years of culture. Enjoy Australian native food and beverages, prepared in a unique fusion of modern techniques with traditional methods.
Be transformed by authentic cultural entertainment, musical and cultural storytelling, and the in-depth knowledge of Aboriginal culture and food, pioneered by founder and Indigeouns culinary expert, Sharon Winsor.
Sharon’s greatest past-time as a young girl was to collect bush fruits and catch yabbies, which has led to her passion for sharing Aboriginal food in its purest form. Combining her culinary training with an unparalleled knowledge of Aboriginal food, Sharon has created a transformative dining and cultural experience unlike any other.
Warakirri is wholly Aboriginal owned and operated by Indigiearth, Sharon Winsor, and champions the development and employment of Indigenous people.
Dietary requirements are catered for; please advise upon booking. The dining experience is recommended for 16 years and over only.
