Colorleds is a design studio in Bogotá, Colombia founded by Claudio Porras and Carolina Cruz. Drawing inspiration from their backgrounds in art, science, psychology and structural engineering, Colorleds are passionate about creating light works which inspire and help people to see their environment in a new way. Waterfall marks their third work at Vivid Sydney, following Through The Wormhole (2021) and the award-winning Spreading Life (2017).

From a distance, the powerful roar of Waterfall invites closer inspection. Get closer, and the 20-metre cascade appears to be mysteriously hanging in mid-air, suspended from nowhere.

Inspired by the world-famous waterfalls found in South America, this work sees 'water' flow via LED mesh with a digital spray and mist at the bottom, combined with a soundtrack that transports.

Take stock, rest and reflect on the raw power of nature at this sanctuary in the middle of the Vivid Sydney Light Walk.
