For the third year running, the landmark clock tower of Central Station comes alive with animated projection mapping for Vivid Sydney.
Across 175 stations and 1,611km of track, some 370 million journeys are taken each year on our city’s trains. Train lines are the arteries of the city and Central Station is the heart that keeps Sydney pumping. Presented by Sydney Trains, Keep On Moving is an abstract exploration of this vital part of Sydney’s daily life, depicted in three scenes.
The Hub symbolises Central Station. All of Sydney’s train lines converge here, stopping and starting again as they pass through the heart of the city. Watch thousands of people, represented by colourful cells, navigate their way across the clock tower’s ornate architecture.
Out the Train Window takes viewers on a trip to an imaginary world of abstract scenery and landscapes, composed of vibrant geometric shapes and patterns.
In Behind the Scenes, you’ll discover the inner workings of our vast rail system. Graphic forms illustrate the network signals and mechanical details that usually go unnoticed and are often hidden from our view.
