Astral explores the celestial universe, mapping out the night sky in glittering starlight and orbits of colour.

It is an interpretation that references ancient Chinese astrological charts, constellations from the Aboriginal Dreamtime and natural phenomena such as the Aurora Australis.

The installation's dodecahedron form is lit from within. Its surface reveals a changing display of light and colour, revealing various constellations from diverse global mythologies.

Visitors are drawn in by starlight, engaged by cultural history and entranced by what ancient Chinese astrologers observed as ‘a scene from heaven’.
