Event Details

Dreaming about ditching your day job so you can become a fully-fledged writer?

Internationally published children’s author Allison Tait and national director of the Australian Writers' Centre Valerie Khoo host the top-rating podcast So You Want To Be a Writer. For Vivid Ideas, they expand their dialogue into a panel discussion with audience participation to help aspiring writers determine the exact steps they need to take to get into their chosen writing field.

Award-winning authors Candice Fox and Pamela Freeman join proceedings. Candice is the Number 1 New York Times bestselling author of crime fiction. Pamela is author of over 30 books for adults and children. Together the panel share their experiences and provide top tips for emerging writers. Find out how they've each evolved a passion for writing into a full-time career. The session is particularly relevant to those in roles they’d prefer to transition away from to become full-time creatives.

The panellists’ expert advice is invaluable. Bring your notebooks and scribble down those questions for the post-panel Q&A session. Anyone curious to explore the world of writing and publishing will gain insights into how to break into the industry. This is an ideal event for connecting with like-minded writers, discovering opportunities and getting inspired to achieve your writing goals.
