Vivid Ideas at Chatswood Chase: Q&A with Limelight and the Limelight Academy Masterclass Students and Debra Just

Have you ever wondered how amazing 3D visuals are created and projected onto architecture?  Meet the pioneers of 3D projection mapping Hungarian artist collective Limelight.  Join us to discover what projection mapping is. Who is the award winning Limelight, whose work has featured in festivals around the world? And what was their inspiration for Co-existence, their mesmerising projection for Vivid Sydney at Chatswood 2019? 

This is a session for digital artists interested in understanding how to take their work to the next level, integrating architecture and 3D animation into their projections.  It will also be of interest for students interested in the Limelight Academy Masterclass, a mentoring program in 3 D projection mapping.

In a first for Vivid Sydney at Chatswood, six international students mentored through the Limelight Academy Masterclass, representing the future of the projection mapping art, have created unique works for The Concourse sails. We will introduce these emerging artists to Chatswood and discover what happened at the master class and what they learned from their experience.
