Freda's & Down Under Space

FREDA’S is a bar and creative space in Chippendale with a commitment to showcasing emerging artists, musicians and DJs.

Established in 2011, Freda’s has become a hub for left of centre, experimental and creative live events spanning the gammut from local punk shows to hosting some of the worlds best DJs.

Each night is treated as a unique and special occasion, with the main goal always to provide the best possible platform for the artists and their performance, and in turn create some magic for the audience to experience and participate in.

DOWN UNDER is a new art space opening on the 8th of February, located in the recently renovated basement space of Freda’s bar, Chippendale.

This space will host monthly exhibitions featuring Sydney and interstate emerging artists and curators. Additionally this space will host weekly lm programs, monthly performance and talk series, unique music events, artist dinners and small festivals.

Focusing on emerging creative practitioners, this space aims to support creatively and financially unique and immersive ideas come to life.
