Vivid Sydney comes to a close for 2009
Vivid Sydney, the city’s new public festival of music light and ideas transformed The Rocks and Circular Quay into a spectacular living canvas. The biggest event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, the festival offered something for everyone from family friendly free light art to creative industry debates and cutting edge contemporary music.
Sydney-siders and visitors experienced four exciting new events:
A music festival at Sydney Opera House curated by legendary musician and multimedia artist Brian Eno.
Including a free 'Light Walk' that illuminated the city with dozens of stunning low energy light art installations.

Vivid Sydney may be over for 2009, but listed on the NSW Master Events Calendar is a range of events and festivals including Crave Sydney and the Australian Open Golf Championship.
In October Crave Sydney celebrates the city’s art, culture, food, wine and outdoor living.
Sports fans shouldn’t miss the chance to see Sydney host the Australian Open Golf Championship in December at one of the world’s best golf courses, the New South Wales Golf Club.
