From seedy back alley nightclub stages to the halls of the Sydney Opera House and there is no space or stage too strange for Donny Benet to dominate. It’s a testament to his charisma and presence that his talents immediately enrapture any audience, no matter the setting.
After some knock out performances at prestigious events such as Vivid Live, Mona Foma, Sydney Festival, Adelaide Festival and Secret Garden, word of Donny’s mesmerizing performances spread quickly: in 2013 Donny Benet took out FBi Radio’s SMAC Award for Best Live Act. In 2014 he sold out album launch performances and a year later, during the 2015 BIGSOUND conference, Noisey heaped praise on Benet as the standout artist of the entire week, applauding his set as “…compulsory viewing for every single act attending the conference. This was a keynote masterclass in How To Do It”.
With three smoking albums already under his belt, Donny Benet is working hard to bring that magical touch to a fourth album of musical aphrodisiacs, to be released in late 2016.
