Join us for the opening of the international Media Architecture Biennale at the Concourse Civic Pavilion in Chatswood, featuring a networking forum, a formal opening ceremony, and a public keynote by the Creative Director of Vivid Sydney, Ignatius Jones.
The keynote will discuss the convergence of media and architecture in temporary contexts – for festivals and other major public events, such as Vivid Sydney, the Shanghai World Expo, and the Doha Asian Games. It will shed light on the ideas that led to some of the largest lighting devices ever built and their potential for placemaking in 21st century cities.
The schedule for the evening includes:
- 6pm to 6.30pm: Opening address
- 6.30pm to 7.30pm: Opening keynote by Ignatius Jones
This event is part of the international Media Architecture Biennale (MAB16). It concludes the second day of MAB16, which features symposia on Digital Publics and Smart Cities & Urban Innovation.
