Event Details
One of the world’s most iconic designers, Stefan Sagmeister has worked for clients as diverse as the Rolling Stones, HBO, and the Guggenheim Museum, winning two Grammys for package design for his work with the Talking Heads, Brian Eno and David Byrne.
One of his most famous poster designs was created by carving the copy into the skin of his own torso with a blade: Sagmeister plays with humour, risk, drama and the body unlike any designer before or since.
His book, Things I Have Learned In My Life So Far, is a masterpiece of design and inspiration: drawn from a lifetime of diary-keeping, experience and observations, Sagmeister converted snippets of advice and wisdom into living typographic moments in locations around the world. The stories behind this project, and Sagmeister’s approach to his work and career, are rich material for any designer, artist or creative to draw from.
Stefan Sagmeister will appear as part of the Vivid Ideas Game Changers talks series: conversations with global creative industries leaders.
